When it comes to golf, it is not the stars of the LPGA who can make this sports more popular but the celebs who play it (and talk about it). In a recent feature, WorldGolf’s article titled From Halle Berry to Jessica Alba, the most famous female golfers aren’t on LPGA tour.

The site writes:

With her starring turn in the “Fantastic Four,” Jessica Alba has shown she’s moving right up the ladder of Hollywood’s hottest actresses. And at any given moment, you can bet she’s one of the hottest things on a golf course.

Being turned down for anything in life always sucks, however, Jessica Alba found a way for a sweet revenge on all whose rejected her in the past…

Jessica had recently told OK Magazine “We try so hard at auditions and are rejected so often, so when you get to the point where you can actually get those same people to kiss you’re a**, it’s really great!”

Jessica added that she enjoys turning down offers saying: “Do you know what I like? Turning roles down! I think that’s my favorite thing. I’m not a snob, but I do love turning jobs down.”

In the recent Southwest convention Lionsgate presented their 2007/2008 movie lineup and amonth the movies presented was Good Luck Chuck featuring Jessica Alba and Dane Cook.

Dane Cook was on hand to talk about and show the trailer for Good Luck Chuck. The film follows a guy who becomes a legend to the ladies due to a curse in which after they sleep with him, the next person they date will be their true love. It sounds confusing, but the trailer looks quite nice, with Jessica Alba pulling several Cameron Diaz hot girl pratfalls including walking into a pole, getting her skirt ripped off by a car, etc. Cook got many laughs for his comment that he knew the lunch was going to be kick ass because there was a smoke machine next to the stage … which we also found really odd in a staid convention center hall. Cook’s speech was heartfelt as he talked about his journey in comedy, how he watched his heroes Steve Martin and Adam Sandler, how he met with his fans after every show, how he was mostly attracted these days to comedy films with heart.

The movie is due out August 24, 2007.

I am not sure if it is the fact that she’s an expert in marriage by now or that her and hubby, Cash Warren, are getting closer, but Jessica was quoted this week as saying that she is anxious to have kids.

“I’m really girly when it comes to kids. I’ve been surrounded by children my whole life because I’m the oldest of 15 cousins - I’ve been changing (nappies) since I was six.

“I want to have a couple, for sure.“
