While on REGIS & KELLY yesterday morning, Jessica Alba confirmed that she’s been contacted by Broadway officials for a shot at playing Karen in the upcoming Broadway revival of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow Jessica’s response was “I don’t know if audiences would even want to see me on Broadway.” So we don’t know, yet, if she’ll really be there.

Jessica made several comments recently about her wishes to develop her career and the way she is being viewed and such a role can help her to lead her career that way. Guess it would be a chance for us to know if those rumors were true or not.

A new trailer for THE EYE is out today and if gives us a better idea about what this movie entails. In general Sydney Wells (Jessica Alba), an accomplished Los Angeles violinist, has been blind since childhood. She undergoes a double corneal transplant, a surgery she has waited her whole life to have, and her sight is restored. After the surgery, neural ophthalmologist Dr. Paul Faulkner (Alessandro Nivola) helps Sydney with the difficult adjustment, and with the support of her older sister Helen (Parker Posey), Sydney learns to see again. However, her happiness is short-lived as unexplainable shadowy and frightening images start to haunt her…

When Sydney is told that it shouldn’t matter where her eyes came from, she begins to question when she starts seeing all sorts of crazy shit…

Jessica Alba spoke to an EXTRA crew recently about her upcoming movie AWAKE and about working with her co-star in the movie Anakin Skywalker Hayden Christiansen.

“Hayden is lovely. Very sweet, very humble,” said Alba. “I guess he’s the opposite of what people think of somebody with his amount of success and notoriety in this business. He’s known all over the world. Girls scream at him everywhere but he’s so shy.

“He’s not that cocky guy. He gives everyone hugs. On the first day on set, he brought me cupcakes he got with his grandparents. He’s a real good person.“

While on TRL earlier this week, Jessica Alba was asked if she had the “ultimate dream guy”, and she responded that Johnny Depp holds the top spot in her short list. When talking about Depp, Jessica said: “I have a huge crush on him. When I saw him at the Golden Globes I made eye contact with him, and got all flustered.”

She added: “Of all the men in the business, he is my favorite.”
