Jessica Alba plans on being a mother to her child rather than a friend and hopes that her kids will still come up to her with problems.

In a recent interview to FitPregnancy Jessica Alba said “I don’t want to be my child’s best friend; I want to be a mom. But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it’s going to be about treading that line.”

Jessica was also asked about going through pregnancy and said that the pregnancy had mellowed her out.

“At the end of the day I am so tired I can’t function or speak and my eyes glaze over, but this pregnancy has seriously mellowed me out, which is nice. I’ve been going, going, going for so long, it feels nice not to take things so seriously.”

Jessica Alba is not done with her preparations for her upcoming baby. While her and Cash Warren got married in a small, limited courthouse ceremony, word has it that Jessica is planning an official reception and a possible “babymoon” in the next few weeks before her due date.

“Jessica wants to have something special with everyone there,” a pal of the duo says.” She wanted to do this right. She’s always wanted to be married and have a baby with Cash.” The 27-year-old actress, who accepted 31-year-old Cash’s marriage proposal in December 2007, is not planning a conventional honeymoon either.”

The source added that,

“She wants to go on a babymoon vacation before she gives birth,” Jessica’s pal tells OK!. “She’s looking forward to lounging on a beach somewhere like Cabo. They want to do relaxing couple’s things like get messages- of course hers will be prenatal! She is trying to spend as much along time with Cash as she can!”

So, is Jessica Alba a milf yet? I am not sure what the rule is but she will sure be within the next 3 weeks and boy what a style she have had this pregnancy. She can seriously give most celebs a lesson….

Jessica Alba and Mike Myers spoke to UWeekly recently about their upcoming flick The Love Guru. Jessica Alba was asked about keeping up with Myers and for some ‘real life love tips’ as a recently married women.

On working with Myers, Jessica Alba said:

It was fun; it was so much fun — you know, going to work and not really knowing how that day is going to go, and it being so unpredictable, and you fly by the seat of your pants — that is most fun to me. Whether it be in comedy or drama or whatever, and you know, certainly in comedy, it keeps the energy up and keeps it interesting.

On the topic of love Jessica said:

In the matter of love. Well, you definitely need to be on the path of loving yourself before you are capable of sharing your life or your heart with anyone else. And I think a lot of people look for love to validate themselves or to lose themselves in, you know, putting themselves second, and it’s easy to get lost in a relationship. But you have to love yourself first before you’re even ready for that kind of thing.

Jessica Alba’s brother, Josh Alba, said in an interview with E! News that he was surprised to hear about his sister’s wedding, especially because he knows that “they are going to do a big ceremony later.  I just don’t know any of the details yet.”

MSNBC.com is theorizing that Jessica Alba and Cash Warren’s wedding may be one of the “most strategically sound decisions [she] has made in her career.” 

Here’s how they broke it down:

• By marrying in the wake of Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz’s publicity hungry nuptials, she was guaranteed privacy because everyone was too distracted to pay attention to any hints that they were getting hitched.
• A courthouse wedding lends for “tremendous public respect” on a basic PR level.  Says an industry insider, “If you’re going to get pregnant, then get married, this is the way to do it. On the same day that Jessica’s wedding was announced, people were hearing the early details about Ashlee’s wedding. They’re wondering whether she’s pregnant under that dress, while the Jessica Alba’s fans are just happy for her.”
• Alba’s publicist Brad Cafarelli used to be Ashlee and Jessica Simpson’s publicist and now that he’s “stolen Ashlee’s thunder, he can’t help but be living it right now.”

Still no official comment from the Alba/Warren/Cafarelli camp other than a confirmation of the marriage.  What do you think?  Good strategic move or just all coincidences?

Even Jessica Alba’s close friends are shocked that she got married to Cash Warren without any notice at all!

“Jessica and Cash’s ceremony surprised even good friends,” says a source close to Alba, noting that the actress tends to be “very responsible” and “strategic” when it comes to her personal life.  “She [used to feel] it would be okay to wait until after the baby was born to get married,” the source continues. “But her traditional side must have really kicked in.”

The ’source’ did say that Warren is “a wonderful guy” and that Jessica “really does love him.”

Mark Alba, father of Jessica, gave an exclusive interview with Latina.com about her surprise wedding at a Beverly Hills courthouse on Monday morning. 

“I think it’s good news for her,” Jessica’s papi said, sounding emotional on the phone. “I’m glad for her. She’s a beautiful girl. I’m her dad and I’m happy for her no matter what happens.”

The father of the bride also revealed that the wedding was a super-secret affair: “It was well-hidden from the paparazzi—and a lot more,” he said.

It must be difficult to have your little girl get married without telling you, huh?  What do you guys think?  Should Jessica have told her family she was going to get married or was she right to keep it a total secret?  Or maybe they actually just passed by the courthouse and decided at the last minute to do it!
