Awake Movie Backup Plan in New York

December 21, 2005 by colbert

New York transit workers in the good old US are planning a strike in the first time in 25 years and this will affect several films and TV productions including Jessica’s “Awake” movie. However, thanks to the production manager’s forward thinking plans, looks like it’s gonna make the schedule. Thanks goodness for great management !

Two productions that are going on this week are the Weinstein Co. thriller “Awake,” starring Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba , and the NBC midseason legal drama “Conviction.” Both are shooting at Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens. “Awake” production manager Robin Sweet said she had a plan in place Friday, when the strike was first threatened, and it‘s still the same.
