I was inspired to write about Jessica Alba’s style of late.  I noticed that she has been sporting a headband look with her hair pulled back in a ponytail (or down as you see below) almost wherever she goes - at social events or on the street taking care of some errands.  I have also noticed (and not just me) that the “Fantastic Four” hottie has been taking on a more comfortable and stylish look for the past year.  But, stressing more on the comfort, for sure.  Who can blame her? With her busy schedule as a movie star, plus being a mom and taking care of adorable Honor Marie and a wife to hubby, Cash Warren, many of us would be going for the comfy mom look.  But, Jessica does it with style and class.  Look how  incredible she looked at the BET Awards pre-party this past weekend.  She looked absolutely chic and lovely (see close-up pictures of her, here).

What’s great about this look is that you always look like you just came back from the ballet studio looking chic and elegant in your jeans.  The look really suits this Hollywood mommy and showcases her great high cheekbones.

According to a source from the National Enquirer (I know, not a very good source!), Jessica Alba likes to decorate her home with items she finds in the trash. Hmmmm….I have a really hard time believing that! The article went on to say that she “loves sifting through the rubbish left out by her neighbors to see if there is anything worth using.”

The “source” told the Magazine, “Jessica is into doing creative projects, and she gets a lot of material from the junk her wealthy neighbors throw out. She doesn’t hide them, she’s proud of her work and reasons that it’s foolish to spend thousands of dollars at an expensive store when you can sometimes score just as nice things in the trash.”

Now, I can believe that she refurbishes items and like doing craft projects, but the whole digging through her neighbor’s trash is a little over the top wouldn’t you say? Strange.

In other Jessica Alba news, Teen Vogue has released their monthly list of the ten best dressed celebrities and Jess made the list.

She came in at number eight for her Jason Wu dress at the 2009 Costume Institute Gala.

I did love that dress!

The “Fantastic Four” star knows how to mix business and style. She paired wide leg black trousers with a crisp white shirt and a black jacket. She also accessorized with a beautiful Chanel chain bag.

Jessica Alba attended the Costume Institute Benefit celebrating the opening of “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion”, at the Metroplitan Museum of Art in New York on May 4th.

She looked absolutely stunning!

Jessica wore a Jason Wu dress and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels. The earrings were 51.08 carats of cabochon drop Zambian emeralds and diamonds. Her bracelet was 44 carats of diamonds and the “Folie des Pres” ring had 8 carats of diamonds. WOW!

Designer Jason Wu gushed about Jessica saying, "She just had a baby, and she’s fitting into a sample size. It’s amazing”.

He’s also met Jessica’s daughter Honor and said, "She’s so cute. It makes me want to have a baby”. He went on to say, "She’s a great mom. I don’t know how she juggles it all. Busy acting career, being a mom and tonight as my muse. She’s multitasking, and she’s a great one at that.”

Jessica Alba made her way to the Miu Miu fashion show yesterday where she had a front row seat during Paris Fashion Week.

I like the pulled together, all dark look, but I’m not crazy about the live animal around her neck or the odd mixture of black, brown, black tights and red and black open-toed shoes. Last I checked, the only person I knew who wore open toed shoes with tights/hose was my grandmother.

Jessica Alba, carrying her adorable 8 month old daughter, Honor Marie, left a visit to her acting coach yesterday.

Dressed… interestingly in bright purple sweats and boots that closely resemble slippers, Jessica carried Honor (and a super-sized diaper bag) to her hybrid SUV.

Honor looked super cute in a gray vest and Ugg-like booties.

Jessica Alba and her adorable eight month old daughter Honor were spotted walking in West Hollywood after leaving Oscar Generale’s fashion showroom on Wednesday.

Jessica was rocking the hippie chic with flared jeans, a t-shirt and denim vest. A pair or large wire-rimmed sunglasses topped off the look.

Jessica Alba was spotted in Beverly Hills picking up a baby shower gift at popular baby boutique, Bel Bambini.

Looking chic in black leggings and a black tunic and scarf, Jessica carried her purchases and a coffee back to her SUV. She topped off the outfit with sunglasses and a gold headband - very Blair Waldorf!

Jessica was later joined by a friend and her daughter, Honor Marie, for the shower in the ritzy community of Palos Verdes.

On giving birth: “Contractions aren’t that bad. If you’ve ever had bad cramps? That’s what they’re like. But that moment when they put the baby on your chest – that’s deep. It’s a deep experience.”

On losing weight after baby: “I’m not completely back to where I was. It’s not the same, but it’s not that serious. I’d rather spend an evening with my baby and give her a bath and read her stories and watch her roll around than go work out in a gym.”

On growing up in the movie business: “We moved around a lot. At schools, I never really fit in. I was always hanging out with, like, the school nurse or my teachers—if that. On my first set, I was like, “Oh, I belong somewhere.” Movies, on every level, are like a circus of misfits. It’s a very bizarre life; it’s intense, and everyone has to be good at what they do or you won’t survive—you’ll just get crushed.”

Jessia Alba donned an… interesting ensamble as she visited a friend in the Hollywood Hills.
