“The Killer Inside of Me”

July 1, 2009 by Sahrah Lee

jessica-alba-going-for-a-walk-with-a-friendNews about Jessica Alba’s movie, “The Killer Inside of Me” have been reported on the local news website for Oklahoma , NewsChannel8, as being spotted in the downtown area of Tulsa resuming the filming of the movie (June 29th).  Due to wrap up shortly.

I have to say the interest in this movie, at least on my side, was overshadowed by the film’s unwanted publicity of Jessica Alba’s little “adventure” in Oklahoma.   Currently, the “Fantastic Four” starlet has already finished filming her part in the movie and will be playing a prostitute (Joyce Lakeland) in this re-make of the 1976 version.  I think we’ll definitely be seeing a more sultry and grittier side to Jessica Alba in this film, compare to anything we have seen of her on the big screen.  Which, I’m sure we Alba fans can’t wait to see!

What we know of the film?

The movie is an independent film directed by Michael Winterbottom, based on a crime story novel  in the 1950s written by Jim Thompson.  The story follows a seemingly dull, small-town deputy sheriff that has suppressed his long-time homicidal urges that he had since childhood, but has suddenly resurfaced beyond his control (Uh, oh… if Jessica is already done filming her part in the movie and it’s currently still being filmed, does that mean.. no..gasp..not Jessica?!?).

Jessica Alba’s co-stars are Casey Affleck (who plays the disturbed deputy sheriff) , and Kate Hudson (the sheriff’s school teacher girlfriend).  Also starring in the movie are Bill Pullman, Simon Baker, and Elias Koteas in this crime thriller.  The film is expected to be released in 2010.

Behind the Scenes of “Sin City”

June 23, 2009 by Julie Bonner

In 2005, Jessica Alba played Nancy Callahan in Frank Miller’s “Sin City”. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look into the film with co-director Robert Rodriguez.

Synopsis:

“Sin City” is four stories inter-weaved telling tales of corruption in Basin City. The first story (The Customer is always right) is short, and is based on the depression of women that they need to pay a man to feel loved when they commit suicide. The next story is Part 1 of “That Yellow Bastard” about a cop who needs to save a young girl from being raped. The third story (The Hard Goodbye) features a man taking revenge on a heartless killer who murdered his one-night stand. The fourth story (The Big, Fat Kill) stars a man who must dispatch a cop’s body, but it will be a tough ride to do it. Following that are two conclusions to Sin City, the ending of “That Yellow Bastard” which is set 8 years later, and a short story that ends Sin City.

90504A1_ALBA_J_B_GR_01 The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jessica Alba along with an all-star cast are in talks to star in a romantic comedy, "Valentine’s Day," to be directed by Garry Marshall.

Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher are in final negotiations to star in the movie, which has five slightly interconnecting stories playing out during a Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles.

WOW! What a cast. Here’s a short description of Jessica’s possible role:

Kutcher is an owner of a flower shop who proposes to his girlfriend (Alba), only to realize he is in love with his close friend, played by Garner, who discovers her boyfriend is married.

You have to check out the rest of the article to read about the story line. It sounds a bit confusing with all of these major characters trying to get their screen time in.
