I was inspired to write about Jessica Alba’s style of late.  I noticed that she has been sporting a headband look with her hair pulled back in a ponytail (or down as you see below) almost wherever she goes - at social events or on the street taking care of some errands.  I have also noticed (and not just me) that the “Fantastic Four” hottie has been taking on a more comfortable and stylish look for the past year.  But, stressing more on the comfort, for sure.  Who can blame her? With her busy schedule as a movie star, plus being a mom and taking care of adorable Honor Marie and a wife to hubby, Cash Warren, many of us would be going for the comfy mom look.  But, Jessica does it with style and class.  Look how  incredible she looked at the BET Awards pre-party this past weekend.  She looked absolutely chic and lovely (see close-up pictures of her, here).

What’s great about this look is that you always look like you just came back from the ballet studio looking chic and elegant in your jeans.  The look really suits this Hollywood mommy and showcases her great high cheekbones.

News of Jessica Alba have been slow lately.   But, no need to despair fellow Albafans.  Slowly but surely there’s been some news trickling in through the gaps of all the latest headlines (one, which being the sad news of the death of Michael Jackson) about her shopping for a home in New York City (look like they’re still looking since late March).  According to the New York Post (June 18th), Jessica Alba and her family, Cash Warren and Honor Marie, were spotted scouting for a new home in various areas of The Big Apple:

Alba, hubby Cash Warren and adorable baby Honor Marie were house-hunting in the West Village. But they have since become enamored with some penthouses they visited at the Fairchild, a chic, 21-unit TriBeCa building

Picking Fairchild as their new home would be a great choice, especially if they are thinking of providing little Honor with a brother or sister (or both!). The Fairchild is known for it’s  chic, gorgeous and spacious apartments and being located in the TriBeCa neighborhood, there’s  also great schools nearby for Honor Marie.

Yesterday (June 21) Jessica Alba, Cash Warren and Honor Marie were seen celebrating Father’s Day with some breakfast at Nate and Al’s in Beverly Hills.

FHM’s list of the 100 sexiest women for 2009 results are out and Jessica Alba has scored the number two spot, right behind Transformers star Megan Fox. They had around 10 million votes. In 2007, Jessica grabbed the number one spot, but there is nothing wrong with coming in second place out of hundreds who were on the list.

According to MTV, Jessica Alba and Robert Rodriguez have secured the film rights to a French comic book series titled “The Insiders.” Where did this news originate from? Reportedly several French websites are covering the story.

“The Insiders” first debuted in 2002 from Jean-Claude Bartoll and Renaud Garreta, yielding seven volumes of the series in France with an eighth scheduled for this October. In the same month, Americans will also see the first volume of “The Insiders” titled Chechen Guerilla — perhaps a move to familiarize stateside audiences with Alba’s upcoming character.

So, who would Jessica Alba play? Najah Cruz, a Columbian woman with “the weapons expertise and combat skills of a James Bond.” The character is “tasked with infiltrating a crime syndicate on behalf of the United States government, where she ultimately works her way into becoming the lead criminal’s body guard.”

According to the Associated Press, Jessica Alba has donated money to the United Way in Oklahoma City after she helped White Mike plaster the city with shark posters.

The United Way announced Jessica’s donation today (June 18). Jessica’s lawyer asked them not to disclose the amount, but the spokesman for the United Way, Erin Brewer, called the donation “generous” and “appropriate.”

Jessica has since apologized after the incident and was forgiven. No criminal charges will be pressed. There, case closed.

Since news about Jessica Alba is a little slow right now, I decided to go searching around on YouTube for something you might enjoy. I found this collection of very sexy Jessica Alba pictures for your viewing pleasure. These pictures reiterate just how gorgeous this lady is!

The last we saw of Jessica, Cash and Honor was on their vacation in Paris. They attended a friend’s wedding and also saw some sites of the city.

We also know that Jessica has been cleared from any charges regarding the shark posters she helped plaster Oklahoma City with. It looks like, for now anyway, she can put this all behind her.

In other Jessica Alba news, as most of you probably already know, the fake twitter account that SO many people believed was the real Jessica Alba, has been taken down. After a few of us wrote her publicist and let as many people on twitter know as possible that it was fake, the higher powers that be took action and the account has been suspended.

If I do ever find out that she has a real twitter, I’ll let you know. But as of now, all accounts are fake. Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Maybe this whole shark poster story will die down a little because the property owners have forgiven Jessica Alba. The owners of the property in which Jessica helped plaster shark posters on, have spoken out and said they have no desire to press criminal charges against her.

She has already apologized for the stunt and for now, that seems to be enough for them. Although, police Sgt. Gary Knight will be meeting with the property owners to make sure they do not want to prosecute.

“That’s typical for how we handle all investigations of this nature,” Knight said. “You want to make sure you have a victim that’s willing to prosecute.

“Typically in cases like this if people don’t want to prosecute, often times the case is closed.”

A spokesperson for electric utility Oklahoma Gas & Electric Brian Alford said today, “It’s not our intent to pursue any type of charges. I think if we have a cost associated with the removal we would hope to be compensated for that cost, but at this point it’s a lesson learned and we just want to put it behind us.”

Calls to Jessica Alba’s publicist about whether or not she will reimburse the United Way for damages have not been returned.

A spokesperson for United Way commented, “I think it would be very generous of her, and certainly we would be honored if she chose to make a contribution.”

It seems that just about everyone is willing to forgive and forget the whole shark poster fiasco. I think  it’s time to movie on, don’t you?

According to ABC News, the Oklahoma City Police are investigating Jessica Alba after she helped White Mike plaster OKC with White Shark posters. After the pictures of Alba standing in front of a poster, holding up the victory sign were discovered by The Lost Ogle, White Mike quickly removed them from his site.

He has since put up a post “To the People of Oklahoma City”, explaining why posters of White Sharks were put up in OKC, when obviously the sharks don’t live anywhere near the place.

Alba did issue an apology which I posted here, saying “I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident.”

Here’s an excerpt from ABC News about the investigation:

Oklahoma City Sgt. Gary Knight told ABCNews.com that Alba has not been arrested, nor have any charges been filed. Police are still conducting their investigation after a parks department employee filed a police report Monday. Knight said no more than a dozen posters were placed on electrical boxes, a traffic control box, a bridge and a United Way billboard.

The city has a number of laws, covering everything from vandalism to tagging, that prohibit the defacing of property. Knight said the owners of the property will be contacted to see if they wish to press charges.

They go on to say that Jessica would face the same charges as anyone else because it doesn’t matter what walk of life you are from.

Jessica Alba is apologizing for tagging Oklahoma City with Great White Shark posters. Here’s the statement Jessica just released:

“I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident.”

Her apology came after the police opened an investigation into the giant shark posters and online photos that showed Alba plastering Oklahoma City.

“A number of shark posters were placed around downtown with heavy-duty glue, making them darn near impossible to get off,” Sgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police told the Daily News on Tuesday.

“It’s basically a vandalism case that could involve our new tagger laws,” he said. “It will be assigned to a detective, and then we’d send it to the District Attorney’s office.”

The original photos are now gone from White Mike’s site.

Now this is THE most interesting Jessica Alba story I have heard in awhile. According to E! Online and several other news sources, Jessica Alba went on a little adventure throughout Oklahoma when she was there filming her new movie.

The “Fantastic Four” star blanketed the downtown area with posters of great white sharks as part of an underground effort to draw attention to the predators’ dwindling population.

Her mission was discovered yesterday when pictures of her were posted online. You can see them here.

Her efforts were part of the White Mike campaign, which started in Los Angeles and has expanded to cities such as Atlanta, Washington D.C. and now Oklahoma City.

White Mike has a twitter account and his tweets outed Mrs. Alba: “wow so just blasted OKL in a big way!! Had a friend “tag” along non pun intended, I will post some images tmrw.” and “Just came back from OK! Had a blast tagging with a new friend. I wonder why White Mike isn’t following Jessica Alba on twitter. Hmmmm…
