I was inspired to write about Jessica Alba’s style of late.  I noticed that she has been sporting a headband look with her hair pulled back in a ponytail (or down as you see below) almost wherever she goes - at social events or on the street taking care of some errands.  I have also noticed (and not just me) that the “Fantastic Four” hottie has been taking on a more comfortable and stylish look for the past year.  But, stressing more on the comfort, for sure.  Who can blame her? With her busy schedule as a movie star, plus being a mom and taking care of adorable Honor Marie and a wife to hubby, Cash Warren, many of us would be going for the comfy mom look.  But, Jessica does it with style and class.  Look how  incredible she looked at the BET Awards pre-party this past weekend.  She looked absolutely chic and lovely (see close-up pictures of her, here).

What’s great about this look is that you always look like you just came back from the ballet studio looking chic and elegant in your jeans.  The look really suits this Hollywood mommy and showcases her great high cheekbones.

News of Jessica Alba have been slow lately.   But, no need to despair fellow Albafans.  Slowly but surely there’s been some news trickling in through the gaps of all the latest headlines (one, which being the sad news of the death of Michael Jackson) about her shopping for a home in New York City (look like they’re still looking since late March).  According to the New York Post (June 18th), Jessica Alba and her family, Cash Warren and Honor Marie, were spotted scouting for a new home in various areas of The Big Apple:

Alba, hubby Cash Warren and adorable baby Honor Marie were house-hunting in the West Village. But they have since become enamored with some penthouses they visited at the Fairchild, a chic, 21-unit TriBeCa building

Picking Fairchild as their new home would be a great choice, especially if they are thinking of providing little Honor with a brother or sister (or both!). The Fairchild is known for it’s  chic, gorgeous and spacious apartments and being located in the TriBeCa neighborhood, there’s  also great schools nearby for Honor Marie.

According to MTV, Jessica Alba and Robert Rodriguez have secured the film rights to a French comic book series titled “The Insiders.” Where did this news originate from? Reportedly several French websites are covering the story.

“The Insiders” first debuted in 2002 from Jean-Claude Bartoll and Renaud Garreta, yielding seven volumes of the series in France with an eighth scheduled for this October. In the same month, Americans will also see the first volume of “The Insiders” titled Chechen Guerilla — perhaps a move to familiarize stateside audiences with Alba’s upcoming character.

So, who would Jessica Alba play? Najah Cruz, a Columbian woman with “the weapons expertise and combat skills of a James Bond.” The character is “tasked with infiltrating a crime syndicate on behalf of the United States government, where she ultimately works her way into becoming the lead criminal’s body guard.”

According to a source from the National Enquirer (I know, not a very good source!), Jessica Alba likes to decorate her home with items she finds in the trash. Hmmmm….I have a really hard time believing that! The article went on to say that she “loves sifting through the rubbish left out by her neighbors to see if there is anything worth using.”

The “source” told the Magazine, “Jessica is into doing creative projects, and she gets a lot of material from the junk her wealthy neighbors throw out. She doesn’t hide them, she’s proud of her work and reasons that it’s foolish to spend thousands of dollars at an expensive store when you can sometimes score just as nice things in the trash.”

Now, I can believe that she refurbishes items and like doing craft projects, but the whole digging through her neighbor’s trash is a little over the top wouldn’t you say? Strange.

In other Jessica Alba news, Teen Vogue has released their monthly list of the ten best dressed celebrities and Jess made the list.

She came in at number eight for her Jason Wu dress at the 2009 Costume Institute Gala.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jessica Alba along with an all-star cast are in talks to star in a romantic comedy, "Valentine’s Day," to be directed by Garry Marshall.

Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher are in final negotiations to star in the movie, which has five slightly interconnecting stories playing out during a Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles.

WOW! What a cast. Here’s a short description of Jessica’s possible role:

Kutcher is an owner of a flower shop who proposes to his girlfriend (Alba), only to realize he is in love with his close friend, played by Garner, who discovers her boyfriend is married.

You have to check out the rest of the article to read about the story line. It sounds a bit confusing with all of these major characters trying to get their screen time in.

I am so confused! Media outlets all over the place have been quoting Jessica Alba from Twitter. She “confirmed” that Good Luck Chuck 2 was being considered and she’s chatting back and forth with fans, etc, etc.

Well, according to Just Jared, who saw her at a NYC Spring Fling party, she told him that she does NOT have a twitter.

He tweeted, “Jessica Alba told me she doesn’t have a Twitter!”

So, if you are following Jessica Alba on Twitter, that account isn’t the real deal folks. Yes, it’s true, we have all be fooled. This is where the line of Twitter should be drawn, you know? Fans can be chatting back and forth with someone they think is the real deal and it’s not. That person on Twitter, acting as the celebrity, can say whatever they want and people believe them.

Interesting. Is Twitter becoming a tabloid, filled with rumors, that you can’t trust anymore?

Jessica Alba ran a few errands with a friend in Beverly Hills yesterday (April 27). They were later seen taking a break at Sprinkles Cupcakes. No sign of Honor in any of these pictures.

Jessica celebrated her birthday over the weekend, which is today and it sounds like she had a great time. Radar Online is saying that the “Fantastic Four” star had a wild celebration last night at h.wood club in Los Angeles. Who knows how valid this story is, but here’s a little snippet of what they say was a wild evening.

Partying with husband Cash Warren, Jessica was drinking champagne. Eyewitnesses told RadarOnline.com that she was tossing back more than several glasses and then she began to dance sexily in front of her table.

To the delight of almost everyone (especially RadarOnline.com) she ripped off her sweater and threw it at friends she was celebrating with. Underneath the sweater? Just something that looked like a corset!

If this is true, it sounds like she had one heck of a fun evening! Everyone should be allowed to get a little wild on their birthday right? Next up…Honor’s first Birthday!

OK! Magazine ran a story today that Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are ready to turn their family into a real Fantastic Four. We all saw the pictures of the couple apartment shopping in New York City and the rumor is that they want more space to accommodate baby number 2.

A “friend” reportedly told OK!, “Jessica wants a three-bedroom apartment or bigger. She wants it to have all the typical amenities: a doorman, an elevator, good closet space — but for it to be partially finished so she and Cash can complete it to their exact liking without having to tear it down and renovate from scratch.”

It’s also being reported that Jessica has been scoping out schools in the area for Honor in preparation of baby number 2 coming. The source went on to tell OK!, “She really wants a little boy to even out the family”.

Since welcoming baby Honor Marie last June, Jessica Alba has been a very hands-on Hollywood mom. She is rarely seen in public without Honor attached to her hip and her weekdays frequently include trips to the park, while weekends involve family time with Honor and her husband, Cash Warren.

According to The National Enquirer (trusted source? probably not), Jessica, who reportedly has always wanted a larger family, is ready to try for baby number two.

Says the source, “Jessica and Cash are working overtime to get pregnant. She and Cash are boasting that they love being parents and are determined to expand their family as soon as possible.”
