Deepak Chopra Approves of The Love Guru

While religious leaders took offense to The Love Guru, there are some who still support it. Deepak Chopra who saw the final version of the movie recently said “This was a great opportunity to make our Indian philosophy even more popular because despite the popularity of the books, young kids do not know much about it and humour is a good vehicle.”

I must add that Chopra himself has a guest role in the movie but regardless of that fact I think that he is 100% right. Humor/comedy is a great vehicle to introduce large amounts of people into new concepts and while I doubt this was on Mike Myers’ mind when creating the movie, there is no reason it shouldn’t be viewed this way.
