Jessica Alba is America’s “Favorite Substitute Teacher”
Jessica Alba is America’s "Most Wanted Substitute Teacher". That is according to a recent poll taken by the National Education Association in honor of Substitute Educators Day yesterday, Nov. 17.
Jessica topped the list with 24% and was followed by Angelina Jolie (14%) and Will Smith (12%).
Reg Weave, president of the NEA, said that the poll was conducted to bring into focus the role of substitute teachers who work long and hard, but who rarely get credit for a student’s success.
"Although substitute educators play a key role in the classroom, they are often taken for granted. Our celebrity Substitute Educators Day poll is an excellent way for us to spotlight the collective contributions of substitutes to schools nationwide,”
“Just as actress Jessica Alba toiled long and hard before achieving stardom, substitute educators work tirelessly — and often in relative anonymity — to provide every child with a quality public education,"
