While Jessica Alba is currently in New York City, filming An Invisible Sign of My Own she secured her next role in an upcoming production, based on the novel The Killer Inside.

According to the THR, Jessica will be joined by Casey Affleck who plays a West Texas sheriff who is addicted to killing people (?!?), and who falls in love with a prostitute (Alba) and does “funny” things to her…

If you’re looking to get an idea as to what the movie will be like, there is a previous production based on the same book from 1976 starring Stacy Keach.

Earlier this week I posted that J.K. Simmons Joined the Cast of An Invisible Sign of My Own and as production is set to begin any day, actor Chris Messina wraps up the cast.

Messina is the “unknown figure” among the cast but my guess is that he will be much more famous within a year. According to IMDB, Messina has 4 movies set to launch within the next year in addition to An Invisible Sign of My Own.

According to sources, J.K. Simmons, Juno’s dad had joined the cast of An Invisible Sign of My Own.

Simmons was recently seen in the comedy Burn After Reading with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Dunno much about him besides that. How about you, do you like this guy?

Word has it that Jessica Alba was signed on for a new movie production called “An Invisible Sign of My Own”.

The movie is based on the book by Aimee Bender. Math whiz Mona Gray has elected to systematically withdraw from life after a mysterious illness leaves her DAD all but a shell of his former self. When she gets a job as the math teacher at an elementary school, she discovers she has an unorthodox talent for teaching and finds herself thrust back into life again, with children to care for, a man to love, and a reason to live…

Jessica will replace America Ferrera who was initially recruited for the role and will join forces with several child actors (duh, she’ll be a teacher…).

Jessica Alba will not be able to attend the premiere of The Love Guru next week due to her pregnancy and decided to give away her tickets to a lucky winner!

In a recent MySpace blog post Jessica Alba announced the “best guru” contest and explained that since The Love Guru is about Mike Myers ‘the guru’ she wants fans to explain what they are gurus of and the winner takes it all: 2 tickets to the movie premiere + airline tickets + stay + expenses.

Another poster was released for THE EYE which is due in theaters February 1st of 2007. Following THE EYE we still have THE LOVE GURU lined up for release in 2008 after that I expect a long time before another Jessica Alba movie is made. Damn, this pregnancy came at the worst time…
